Harper Interiors Heads to Holland
We were fortunate enough to receive an invite from Vepa UK Ltd to take a tour of their Dutch factories and showrooms. So, last week we did just that!
Vepa UK and Vepa The Furniture Factory in The Netherlands were exceptional hosts and it was an unforgettable trip for our design and buying team.
In between the great food and coffees, we toured the facilities and got to see how their furniture is made, from start to finish. Vepa are leading the way in sustainability and it was a true education to see their operation in full swing.
We ended our trip with a bit of ‘plastic fishing’ in the Amsterdam canals with Plastic Whale . The majority of Vepa’s furniture is made from recycled materials, including a range made from plastic bottles fished from these very canals. It was great to be a part of the action, removing 6 bags of rubbish from the water!
Vepa has given us loads to think about with regards to design and sustainability. We’re incredibly grateful for the experience!
